I went to the farm shop yesterday and I was shocked

I expected it to be really expensive & went as an experience for my minded children

I spent £7.45 (& had a lovely walk, fresh air and actually I'm getting a chicken too - to keep my (lonely)chicken company)

I came home & priced it at Tesco and it would have been £7.93 for similar products (OK can't buy homemade jam there but put Bonne Maman as an alternative)

I may shop there more frequently

We were going to visit ours today (and go strawberry picking) but the heavens have opened so looks like it has been rained off!

Hopefully get to go during the week. Am hoping that it is going to be similar to your experience.

Did however use the local greengrocers yesterday instead of morrisons, and although maybe not much different in price, slightly under, the quality seems to be so much better.

Thats really encouraging - you've inspired me to the farmers market this morning and do a simlar experiment, I really really want to cut down my supermarket addiction.

Yes I find fuit and veg and stuff like that cheaper. I really should go more often. Our farm shop (or at least the one I go to)doesn't do meat.

Meat from teh butchers though is more expensive - but sooo worth it.
