No dietary requirements but they need to be the tastiest thing anyones ever eaten 😂

DDad would really like lamb tikka pieces so a recipe for that would be good

Something saucy
Cauliflower veggie side
Rice
Anything else anyone thinks would be delicious 😃

This is my go to for entertaining (lamb but not tikka): https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/lamb_madras_with_bombay_09160

I do the spuds as roasties though rather than frying.

With the cauli you could dunk florets in spiced gram flour batter and deep fry - pakoras.

Heavenly slow-cooked lamb in a rich Madras curry with spicy potatoes. A perfect Saturday night dish.

Bumbi has lots of recipes and explains them really well…

The tastiest thing anyone has ever eaten is a bit too high a standard for me Grin

My go to is the Dishoom book.
This lamb curry is delicious.

Chetna Makan’a paneer jalfrezi. It’s lovely, a great veggie side or main.

And if you can’t be bothered to make them, frozen parathas from Ocado are lovely.

For the lamb tikka, the marinade does all the heavy lifting — thick yoghurt, lemon juice, plenty of garlic and ginger, garam masala, cumin, smoked paprika for colour and chilli to taste. Marinate overnight if you can, then roast as hot as your oven goes on a rack so the edges char a bit. That's what gets you the proper takeaway-style bits.

For something saucy I'd do a makhani-style gravy: soften onions, ginger and garlic, add tomato passata, butter and a good glug of cream, simmer with the spices and blitz smooth. Works with the tikka pieces, paneer, anything really.

Cauliflower — aloo gobi every time. Parboil the cauliflower and some chopped potatoes, then fry off onion, cumin seeds and ginger with turmeric, and garam masala right at the end. Nicer than it sounds, honestly.

And rice — simple pilau. Fry the whole spices (cardamom pods, cloves, a cinnamon stick) in a bit of oil first, then the rice and water. Dead easy and tastes like you made an effort.
