Which airfryer should I buy, I'm torn between two- help!

I am so stuck with what airfryer to buy. (Context: I'm 21 (only on MN for the drama lol) and living with one house mate and cook alone)

Should I get the Russell Hobbs Russell Hobbs 4L Rapid Digital Air Fryer [7 Cooking Functions

Or Lakeland 5.7L Air Fryer https://www.lakeland.co.uk/products/lakeland-5-7l-air-fryer

Any advice is very welcome!

Neither, if you can stretch your budget get a ninja. On their eBay store you can often get stacker deals.

I’d get one with 2 drawers, I didn’t think i needed one but i’m surprised how often I use both!

Mintyt · 05/10/2026 20:37

you don’t need a big capacity air fryer if it just you, what sort of cooking are you likely to do,

AlphabetBird · 05/10/2026 20:42

Def get one with two drawers. I’ve got a Phillips and it’s excellent.

Why is your age relevant? Weird intro.

Personally I would go for something different and go for the Ninja Speedi.
Its so much more than an airfryer. You can airfry, grill, sautée, bake, slow cook, make complete meals in one, steam, steam bake.
So much better value than many of the air fryers around.
I use mine for virtually everything a hob, oven and airfryer does from making omelette to chicken stroganoff, sautee a sofritto, make curries, risotto, bake cakes, macaroni cheese in 15 mins or so or slow cook a stew.
It could be worth a look.

jacket potato, chips, fish fingers, roasted veg. i have a tiny kitchen as well so it will have to live in a cupboard so smaller the better

I am often cooking for just me and I find it perfect, even for things like making granola or even porridge.

Of course it's useful for batch cooking or doubling up a base meal that can be adapted pted to a different second meal next day.

Aldi currently have this one for sale which had the option of 2 drawers. I cant see the capacity though.

I'm not familiar with either of the models you posted, but I'd check all reviews. We bought one from aldi last year, different version to the one I linked. Its only DH and myself, but its often used for just smaller snacks, but having the option of 2 drawers gives you more space and more options IMO.

The Lakeland one - they use a ceramic based non stick coating free from “forever chemicals”. The Russell Hobbs one is Teflon coated which is not great for the environment and your health.
