Am on a special diet for gallbladder related issues and am trying to cut out fat as much as possible. I’m a pescatarian.

Have been trying to find ways round this.. and make sure I get my protein at the same time.

Share with me your favourite recipes here please. I need some inspiration 🙏🏽

So far baked cod and prawns on a bed of fennel, red peppers, courgettes and garlic with fresh herbs has been a winner.

leek and potato soup with white beans and bouillon all blitzed together - sautéed the veg with just water to soften first instead of oil and dipped sourdough toast in without my usual lashings of butter was also good

Chickpea curry with rice and 0% Greek yogurt

Dhal - with oil removed was surprisingly nice too - everyone ok the house ate this.

Pancakes made with egg whites were also a winner - skimmed milk is great here. Eaten with blueberries and zero fat Greek yogurt and a tiny drizzle of maple syrup 😊

Butternut squash or pumpkin soup made in the same manner as your leek & potato would work too, maybe add some spices?
chicken breast with no skin - marinade with lemon juice, herbs & garlic or jerk spices?
something Middle Eastern with couscous, aubergine cooked without oil in a little stock, chickpeas, dried apricots?

Fajita. White wraps, prawns. Fried peppers and onions, Chopped tomato and cucumber relish and zero fat natural yogurt stirred with chopped herbs and lime juice.

Paella. Tomato and garlic, use water or vegetable stock. Load it with tonnes of veggies for flavour.

Yes all the soups are great right now - so cosy! 😊

I don’t eat chicken but would definitely work for someone else 👍🏼

Ooo prawn paella 🥘 🙌

I made refried beans either loads of spices the other day and a slaw with a low fat dressing - it was filling. I did REALLY miss the cheese and avocado though.

Before I had my gall bladder removed I ended up eating chicken/prawn salads with baked/new potatoes. Vitalite is a great substitute for butter. If I wanted something sweet I’d eat sesame snaps or Turkish delight. I feel your pain! Can I ask if you always had a good diet despite your gall bladder issue? Reason why I’m asking is because I have always eaten a healthy, low fat diet but needed mine removing! It’s perplexed me to this day!

I love baked potatoes! Having a small drizzle of olive oil on them and salt.

I am really healthy - I think it’s down to losing a lot of weight last year.
