Best supermarket burger buns and hot dog rolls for a BBQ?

I am catering a sports club BBQ this coming weekend. I have the menu roughly sorted - includes burgers and hot dogs
Can anyone recommend their best supermarket hot dog rolls and burger buns?

I ask because I was just doing a test-cook and used an M&S brioche bun which went rather soggy and disappointing.

(The Sainsburys burger on the other hand was great).

It's on Sunday so I'm not optimistic I will be able to find an indy baker to do it - hence the supermarket request.

TIA.

Aldi brioche burger buns are decent. You get seeded and unseeded versions. Not sure on hotdog buns

Are you having to be budget conscious or taste conscious?
If the former I'd buy from aldi/lidl

If the later, I'd buy proper sausages rather than frankfurts. Ketchup/butter/mayo etc should help stop the buns getting too soggy. Did you drain the frankfurts of water and the patties of oil before putting in the buns?

I think brioche need to be lightly toasted to be edible, which may be impractical. They're also likely more expensive, if that's an issue.

Just about all supermarkets with in store bakery counters (so Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Tesco, but not Lidl) have packs of seeded white bread cakes and I think most of them have hot dog rolls too. They all seem much of a muchness, I would get those. When doing the test, think about the size that the sausages and burgers are when cooked and if unsure, go for slightly smaller bread items.

Budget not specially an issue. So if Aldi's is the best I would go there or Waitrose the best I would go there.
Not using frankfurters - proper sausages

We love ‘Sheldon’ branded buns, they aren’t brioche (I dislike sweet bread with my burger!) but are delicious- available in most supermarkets…

I don't love brioche buns with burgers. Warburtons do pre-sliced white rolls in packs of 6 or 12 which have always worked fine for us and are in most big supermarkets (maybe not Aldi or Lidl though).

I don’t like brioche buns with burgers, the sweetness seems wrong to me. We would use rolls from our local bakery so I can’t help with a suggestion (not snobbery, it’s just closer than the supermarket).
