Diced beef still a bit frozen - is it ok to slow cook?

As the title says. I've put some diced beef in the slow cooker on low. It's going to be slow cooking all day on low then it's going into a curry later on. It's been defrosting since lunchtime yesterday in the fridge. There was just a small part of it that was still icy and not fully defrosted.

Thankyou! I had a feeling it should be ok but was second guessing myself.

I'm no expert. But I think I would have totally defrosted it first. Not slow cooked half frozen. Could you defrost in the microwave.

Could you fry it first? That would give more flavour?

If you’ve time, bung it in a zip lock bag, squish air out and then submerge bag in bowl of cold water. Should defrost fully in about 20 mins I’d think.
I’m sure it will be absolutely fine, my only worry would be that it will take a lot longer to get up to cooking temp if contents is starting from v cold/frozen and you won’t get the melting/pull apart effect on the meat. But would be totally safe to eat you’re not going to poison anyone bunging it in a bit frozen!

It's in the slow cooker now. 🤞 it'll be ok I just bunged it in as it was.
