Help me make a mince round please

Does anyone have a recipe for a good old fashioned Scottish mince round? My gran always used to make it and I'm full of the cold and really fancy it. Will the type of dish I use make a difference? Maybe a stupid question but my gran always used a pie plate, so do I need one of those rather than a normal pie dish? Is it short crust base and puff pastry topping or puff pastry all round? Any help much appreciated.

My mum used to make it with shortcrust pastry and an oxo cube and a half. It was my favourite meal.
