Ideas for when your appetite fades ?

I need to start building up to eating normally again, I had a sickness bug last month and only recently started eating well again but was ill again last weekend and now can’t face any food .
I do fancy fruit but am worried that may not be ideal on a still very sensitive stomach.
At the moment I’m surviving on ginger tea with honey and plain biscuits.
I’ve just looked at getting a food shop delivery but can’t see anything I’d fancy .
Any suggestions for something light ?

scrambled eggs
chicken soup made with real stock, a few finely chopped vegetables and a scant handful of rice.
ripe stone fruit and creme
Any fruit crumble and custard
risotto

What sort of thing did you eat as a child when ill? That’s where I look for inspiration while DH went immediately to Heinz tomato soup and Jacob’s crackers

hope you find something to help your appetite

If you fancy fruit, what about trying a bit of banana and see how it goes? Just slice a bit off including the skin, leaving the rest in the skin if you don’t eat it all immediately.
Plain baked potato?
Once we could have dairy products again, Ready Brek or proper porridge, cheesey mashed potato

Omelette
cheese on toast and Heinz tomato soup
rice pudding
jacket potato with cheese
simple lentil soup

One of the first things I ate after having Covid was a chicken pot noodle. I never normally have them, but I had one a day for about a week afterwards!
Spring rolls
Chicken wrap
Mushrooms on toast
Rice cakes with cream cheese

Thank you , I don’t eat eggs but soup sounds doable. Love the idea of crumble but I only have rhubarb and I’m not sure if that’s a bit harsh on an already tender stomach.

We were not given anything special if ill as children I’m afraid. My mother wasn’t particularly child friendly, so you ate what was on offer or you didn’t eat.

Cheese on toast

Chicken sandwich

Mashed potato and cauliflower cheese are my go to sick foods.

This happened to me earlier in the year, it took me a few weeks to get back to normal which surprised me, but I just didn't feel like anything. I think I started with childhood comfort foods, sliced white bread toast with Dairylea, cereal etc

Home made soup? Carrot and red lentil with onion and maybe a bit of potato, pureed so it is very smooth.

Cereal? Old fashioned cornflakes or rice krispies with milk and sliced banana.

Boiled egg and toast soldiers?

When I've been ill, I crave plain boiled white rice with a bit of encona hot sauce on it - but most people would probably hate that.

A very sweet apple, grated or a mix of carrot and apple grated with a dash of olive oil and lemon or lime juice?
I often make savoury porridge using good stock instead of milk and water.
I would probably try something that needs to be well chewed to start off the digestive processes.
