Summer Buffet for 50

I in my wisdom suggested a party at home for our silver wedding and it is this saturday. We have around 50 people coming- hopefully nice weather so will be in house and garden. I have ordered 150 samosas from a local indian deli. Will be adding:

Cheese board and grapes
Home made scones, cream, strawberries
Homemade Quiche
Cooked Ham
Cooked Salmon
Potato Salad
Bread
Pizza

Lots of Pimms.......

Any other ideas please

So- it was a huge success. Samosas were amazing. Everyone raved about the food- salmon was a big hit. We had 70+ in the end.

Excellent advice. We had a party a few years ago with 20+ people attending. I had a lovely time planning a really ambitious menu, bought all the ingredients and just ran out of time to make everything planned. Fortunately I'd made lots of the dishes I did have time to make, so there were was enough and to spare (we were eating leftovers for days, it was great) but there were unused ingredients left in the fridge. I had a very detailed list and the next day I went back to it and wrote in bold across the top 'NEVER AGAIN!'
