Help-previously frozen batch cooked food into food flask?

This is undoubtedly a stupid question and I have tried to find a definitive answer...

I only get half an hour for lunch, I get bored with salad, sandwiches etc so wanted to have some hot food. I am happy batch-cooking curries, pasta sauces, chilli and freezing it. I've been taking it in defrosted to them reheat but this can take a good % of lunch time and also clogs up our solo microwave.

If I defrost and heat up my food at home in the morning then put into a food flask, is that ok from a food safety point of view? I'll still microwave a quick single portion of rice or pasta when I'm ready to eat so no worries about that, it's just the liquid part.

Also should add it will be veggie food mostly, because I am illogically funny about reheating meat and I also really like veggie food

It will be fine, I used to do that all the time that’s what food flasks are for.

It’s what food flasks are for!

If it takes more than 2-3 minutes to heat up, your work needs a better microwave. If there's more than a few people needing to microwave lunch at the same time, I'd ask your work to provide a second (or third etc) microwave.

I'd look at both of those before getting a food flask to keep half your meal hot and still taking most of the time to heat up the rest of it.

I used to do it all the time. I suggest filling the flask with boiling water for a moment, then empty and add food.

Thanks everyone. I think I had in my head that people just put last night's leftovers (so not cooked, then frozen, then defrosted) reheated into them. I don't know why 😂

I shall get meal planning!
