For zesting?

I have tried scrubbing with hot water and a washing up sponge scourer but it still seems to be there.

I give them a wash with washing up liquid

I buy a bag of unwaxed lemons from Aldi, think it's c.70p.
Zest & then juice them all, freeze separately.

The zest is easy to scrape off as much as you need.

Unwaxed lemons are easy to find - limes less so.

I'll try washing up liquid

Waitrose do unwaxed limes now. I used to use hot water and a scourer too, but not sure how successful it was.

I saw someone on YouTube use some bicarbonate of soda in water to de-wax a lemon.
