I need a new recipe book

Any suggestions please? Even better if it has lots of interesting salads / things that can be cooked in an air fryer during these endless heatwaves. I’ve got loads of recipe books already but I’m always up for a new holy grail 😁

I really rate Kitchen Sanctuary. She does have some cookery books but her website is really good too. Her Piri Puri Sauce is out of this world.

Bored of lunch - healthy air fryer book

I collected recipe books for 20 years but when the internet came along I only kept the most interesting ones and I got an app (Recipe Keeper) which allows me to upload recipes from blogs, websites etc. It can then print out personalised recipe books with whatever collection of recipes you want, which you can put in a folder, or take the file to a print shop and get it bound on water resistant card. I’ve given a couple away to family. It’s so easy to cook from my phone or the personal book, and much less storage space required.

I have a lot of books that have great salads in them - Ottlenghi Simple and Jerusalem, Alison Roman Dining In and Nothing Fancy, Nigel Slater Greenfeast are all great - but they have lots of other non-salad recipes in them too.

For salad recipes online, the Department of Salad is brilliant.

Smitten Kitchen has recipes for great salads too.

Not really “about” salad. But salad is the force that through the green fuse drives the flower. Recipes, lots of them—and plenty else besides. Click to read The Department of Salad: Official Bulletin, by Emily Nunn, a Substack publication with tens of...

I love River Cafe Two Easy and River Cafe Cook Book Easy (in order of how often I use them). Delicious food, short ingredient lists. I don't cook many of the fish and meat recipes but plenty of the antipasti and pasta dishes. RC Two Easy has a chapter with 20 simple dishes using a ball of mozzarella. RC Cook Book Easy has a variety of cold antipasti. Both brilliant in this weather.

One of my favourites is At My Table by Mary McCartney. My DH is vegetarian and I’m happy to eat that way most of the time too, especially in the summer. Generally I’ve found the recipes nice and light and pretty easy to cook. Lovely photographs too which always helps.

Come round to mine!! I have a recipe book for every occasion and even occasions that don't exist!

Are there lots of vegan recipes in it Yessica? Daughter’s boyfriend has recently turned vegan and I feel I’ve been letting him down with my lacklustre M&S Plant Kitchen offerings 😬

I am in awe of your incredible organisation skills and what a great gift.

There is no Holy Grail of recipe books, scan and print your favourites from your existing books, or search the internet, beware many published recipes have basic errors and are lacking in seasoning, add your own comments and put the print outs in a pocket folder to make your very own recipe book..

So you have to pay to see the Dept of Salad recipes? Shame, it looks really good .

Also Smitten Kitchen is just jumping around with random adverts and no recipes.

If you’ve got Instagram this is good for salads
there is a cookbook too

Just checked and yes, over half of the recipes either are vegan or can easily be adapted to be vegan (with alternatives offered in the recipes).
