Chocolate chip cookies recipe

I am looking for an easy chocolate chip recipe please, but one that makes wide flattish cookies such as what you get in Costa or Millie’s Cookies etc.

I know there is a MC copycat recipe online but I wondered if anyone had another foolproof recipe to try.

This is for a bake sale at DC’s primary school so it must be nut-free too.

This one is very good and reliable.

BBC good food has a ‘Millie’s cookie’ recipe - it’s great. Trick is to underbake them.

Pret published theirs in lockdown and they are lovely. At Christmas I sub out the chocolate for cut up chocolate oranges.

Maybe not worth all the effort for a school function but Dan Lepard's consummate chocolate chip cookie recipe is the best and only recipe you will ever want to eat. Smitten kitchen did a version and her recipes are really straightforward.
