Low Fat Ideas

I have been advised to eat low fat so as not to trigger my gall bladder. Only problem is I also have to avoid acidic foods because of chronic gastritis. That means tomatoes are out, lemon juice, vinegar, onions, garlic etc. Can anyone think of any meals. Pasta is an obvious choice but what with?! I can’t think of any sauce that doesn’t include the above ingredients.

Chicken pasta with pesto and veg? I can't eat many foods due to histamine intolerance so I'm also limited. Pesto is made from oil and nuts and basil and there are both dairy versions (with cheese) and non dairy.

Edited to say you would only need a spoonful of pesto so there wouldn't be a lot of fat in one meal.

Tuna and sweetcorn pasta with Hellman’s lightest mayo

The lightest version of Philadelphia cream cheese is virtually fat free. It’s changed its name from ‘lightest’ to ‘protein’ but it still had the same nutritional content. Add in some herbs and it goes really well with chicken or ham as a pasta sauce.

Thank you - I will definitely try using Philadelphia as a sauce!
Never thought of trying lemon zest with yoghurt as a salad dressing.
