Austerity Ryvita - are they smaller and stingier, or is it just me?

Bit out of the loop here as I haven't had Ryvita for some time. But I bought a packet of Ryvita Multigrain the other day and they seem to have shrunk considerably.

Not just smaller but thinner, less crunchy and less appetising. Is it my imagination or has even the already humble Ryvita fallen prey to shrinkflation?

Everything is smaller and disappointing… nothing tastes of anything either and it’s all over priced.

Not sure about multigrain ones but I just finished a classic rye one with almond butter on it and it was delicious! I keep them in an airtight container so they stay crisp

Well not everything, but certainly a range of things.

Well that's good to hear. I seldom buy them but have a long memory of finding them crispy and wholesome.

These ones seem smaller and cardboard-like, and a bit stale.

It is ages since I had Ryvita, but I much prefer Swedish crispbread brands. You can buy Wasa and Leksands from Ocado or from Swedish delis online (or in person if you are in London). I like Wasa Sport and Wasa Husman best. You used to be able to get it in Ikea too, but I haven't been for a while, so not sure.

"Austerity Ryvita" 😂Love the description. It fits so many packaged goods these days.

The seeded ones always seem more substantial than the basic ones.

@BeanQuisine
I've got an official Ryvita tin - at least 20 years old - & a pack fits in just as tightly now as it ever did !

Well maybe the older ones just loom larger in my imagination.
