Anyone tried a soft-serve ice cream and frozen drinks machine?

Does any one have one of these sort of machines?

I originally wanted a built-in compressor ice-cream maker (used to have a freeze-the-bowl type and didn't get on with it). But we wouldn't be able to fit one into our kitchen, especially as they seem to weight about 15kg.

We then came across this sort of machine . It makes soft-serve and all sorts of frozen or chilled drinks. I really want one now. Weather is getting hotter and hotter - where I live we just came out of a fortnight of 35° days.

I've seen the influencer videos etc, but would be interested in some un-paid opinions.

Many thanks for any opinions you may have!

I realise they're very expensive machines (although here I can get the one that's linked for about half of the price it is on Amazon UK).

That looks incredible. I’ve been looking at the ninja one / this actually looks better!

We've recently got a Gourmia Soft Serve Ice Cream and Frozen Drink Maker, GSI1020.
Costco, approx £150.

Very nice soft serve ice cream & slushies we've tried so far. Downloadable recipes. Everything detaches for easy cleaning.

I don't want the Ninja one because of the advance planning that's necessary. Otherwise it looks great.

We looked at the Ninja slushy and Ninja ice cream in Costco. Ended up buying the Gormea one that does both like the one you have posted. Think ours was £120 from the warehouse think they sell it online too.

Weve been happy with it

This looks amazing and I don't know why it's so much cheaper than all the other models I've seen. Don't know if I can get my hands on one though.

I just couldn’t. I’d have a daily 99 habit in no time!

I think it’s very close to being Costco’s home brand. Been a member for 20+ yrs and sometimes things are just cheaper. We had the Gorma air fryer from Costco 1z drawer holds a full chicken was £40

@TautouRose

Just had a look on the Costco app and the £150 online price is inclusive of PP all products on Costco online are what you pay. they do an annual online membership

From ChatGPT

A Costco UK Online-only Membership currently costs £42 per year (£35 + VAT). It is open to anyone and lets you:

  • Shop online at Costco UK
  • Book through Costco Travel
  • Use Costco fuel stations
  • Access warehouses (Costco’s membership page now lists warehouse access as a benefit of the online-only membership)

I'm in France, I don't have a Costco anywhere near me and from what I can tell they offer same day delivery near to stores, but not classic online shopping :(

Arh didn’t think you’d not be in the uk lol The amazon machine also looks good. I definitely think the flexibly of being able to do frozen cocktails and ice cream is a real bonus. If you add price of the 2x ninjas the amazon one is still good value.

Is Ebay an option?
