I’m looking for some easy recipes for using up some old brown speckled bananas please?

I’d like something like cake, loaf or muffin recipes as opposed to smoothies.

Delia has a great banana bread, I leave out the walnuts.

BBC Good Food has several good banana recipes. I’ve made the banana muffins, pancakes and cookies and all came out well.
I often get ripe bananas in boxes of leftover office fruit destined for a charity, and hate to pass on anything that doesn’t look fresh, so I’m often baking with fruit. BBC Good Food is my go-to for recipe ideas.

This our favourite banana bread. Much more banana-y than other recipes I’ve tried and the crunchy topping is lovely. I don’t put the extra banana on top though.

Banana cake is one of the easiest cakes to make. Ever. This one is plain, but there's tips for adding nuts, dried fruit or chocolate chunks if you want to.

We do a lot of banana pancakes in these situations.

Quantities are a bit fluid but roughly something like 8 very heaped dessert spoons of self raising flour.
2 eggs
teaspoon of vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Whisk the above together with just enough milk to get a very very thick batter.

Add 1-2 mashed ripe bananas and stir well. You should have a nice dropping consistency by this stage. Thicker is better than thinner.

Add a small amount of oil to a non stick pan and drop a large spoonful in at a time. You do need that bit of oil to get the browning/frying on. Flip over once first side is browned.

Serve with pancake additions of choice.

[you can also add chocolate chips if you want to.]
