Does this chicken look safe to eat?

Probably fed on maize. That turns them yellow. Chicken going off is greyish or greenish. Give it a sniff if you're unsure.

It smells fine but my nose is quite blocked because of hayfever.

Photo? Does it say on the wrapping if its corn fed, that turns them yellow

maryhinge88 · 29/05/2026 18:10

Doesn’t say corn fed. I’m slightly concerned with the yellow liquid too.

Show us the label, is it indate

MissMoneyFairy · 29/05/2026 18:19

If in doubt chuck it out, it doesn't sound very appetising

maryhinge88 · 29/05/2026 18:20

In date until tomorrow

This gets my post of the day award.

Looks fine to me but I mostly eat corn fed free range very high welfare chicken from the butchers and it's always quite yellow. And delicious.

liquoriceallsortfamily · 29/05/2026 20:06

Ditch it. It’s not worth the risk.

susiedaisy1912 · 29/05/2026 20:07

Ditch it. Not worth being ill for
