I had one but I’ve lost it and it wasn’t easy it was a pain the arse if so tasty! Would like something I can bosh out within 30 minutes and none of that marinading!

Does it exist?

Is it the peanut sauce you need a recipe for, or the actual satay chicken itself?

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 04/05/2026 19:58

The sauce! But hit me with either/both!

Satay Sauce

100g dry-roasted peanuts, chopped up a bit
25g creamed coconut, finely chopped
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp tomato purée
1 tbsp rapeseed oil
2 tsp light brown soft sugar
1 tsp cornflour
1 tsp lemon juice
smidgen cayenne pepper

Put all the ingredients into a small pan with 150ml water and bring gently to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, then set aside to cool. You can reheat it to serve, or put in straight into a serving dish.to eat at room temperature with the satay sticks.

Any oil will do, that's just what I have in the kitchen usually

I mix unsweetened crunchy peanut butter with lime juice, garlic, sweet chilli sauce and a bit of boiling water and adjust to taste.
