Can I re-freeze this re-heated soup?

One of the teens has defrosted (in microwave) a huge tub of soup I made last week.
Was to feed 5 of us.
They've taken a serving for themselves and obviously there is 3/4 of the tub left.

It is red lentil and carrot (does have chicken stock in it as I had no veg stock).

Can I let it cool down and re-freeze or do I have to bin it (can't eat it tonight - other food plans)

As long as it's been reheated thoroughly it will be fine to refreeze

I wouldn’t give it another thought. Get teen to help. Freeze in smaller portions next time

You shouldn't refreeze it but it will be fine to eat tomorrow if you stick it in the fridge once it's cooled down.

Its not been reheated fully - defrosted enough to get a serving out which they re-heated.

Shall I reheat it all properly?

@Whatwouldnanado - I've said to teen Ill be doing little tubs from now on. I was gone out an hour ...

If it's only been partially defrosted I would allow it to defrost thoroughly and then reheat in next day or two

If the rest is only partially thawed as in still ice crystals in it then I'd stick it back in freezer. If you don't want to do that, heat it all up to boiling point, cool and then freeze.
