I'm looking for ideas for what to serve to at my book club. Cheese always seems to go down well but after some different suggestions please.

I'm assuming that you have to provide everything. I would do a series of easy dishes - bruscetta (little toasts with some pepper/tomato topping- Lidle does this), vegetable crisps, blini with creme fraiche(soured cream) and smoked salmon or trout. All of these things can be bought and assembled rather than cooked.

Add some cheese and crackers to that and you're golden!

BTW our book club runs a different way - the host provides drink and crisps/nuts etc, and every member brings a dish - savoury or sweet. We discuss the book for an hour over drinks, then spend the second hour over drinks/food/general chat. It works week, but I appreciate other groups wouldn't work that's way.

Good luck.

What book are you reading, could the food be related in any way?
