Penne pasta

I’ve found some old penne pasta in boxes which is ok to use, usually I’d just do them with sauces or pasta bake, but I’d like some new ideas if anyone has any, please!

Pasta salads. Loads of recipes online. They store really well for lunches or quick dinners. For example - Tuna and sweetcorn/salad bits. Chicken with spring onions or bacon bits. All mixed with mayonnaise, or Greek yoghurt, some Dijon.

We are still regularly making that viral pasta recipe from a couple of years ago. The one with a block of feta, couple of packs of cheap cherry tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, chilli flakes, dried herbs. All roasted in air fryer and mashed up with penne.

Penne is one of my favourite short pastas! I like both the above ideas.

It's great with tinned tuna in oil with fresh, frozen or tinned corn. Cook the penne, drain and reserve a little of the starchy water. Heat the corn, mix with the penne & tuna/oil with some parsley or other herbs. Add parmesan & all done.

Actually I might make that for dinner 😆

Penne with garlic and melted Stilton cheese. Delicious!

My fave tuna recipe with pasta is shell (conchiegle) with tin tuna, tin tomatoes and cheese sauce. Homemade cheese sauce! Mmmmm 😋

Then I wonder why I’m not losing any weight 🤣

Won't help the weight loss but also delicious if you melt butter in a pan, add double cream, lemon zest and juice, tinned tuna and some prawns and heat through. Serve with fresh parsley. Totally yum!

Discovered by accident when had tomatoes and bacon that needed using up:-
Saute very slowly for at least half hour or longer onion or shallots, chopped bacon and tomatoes in extra virgin olive oil, toss penne into it😋

Mmm 😋 sadly I do not like prawns!

That sounds delish! Yeah, not losing any weight here either.... I guess if we leave out the cheese sauce... ?
