Hi i've just gone back to work and am looking for quick any easy recipe ideas to make for my baby before i go to work in the afternoon. I do freeze things that are suitable for him but dont have a batch in the freezer just one or 2 pots. He does have jars too but i like to limit him to just 1 a day at the most.
Bought some tins of mac and cheese, and baked beans and spaghetti but have been put of these by mnetters! lol.
Please note i'm not much of a cook so simple things please :D

Check out annabel karmel's sample recipes. I had loads of her books when mine were little (sorry, have passed them on) but if you think they're the sort of thing you would cook, might be worth investing in one of her books? I also had a Sainsbury's book which had lots of very simple ideas.

Cook macaroni & peas and sweetcorn (tinned or frozen) + broccoli + fried chopped onions if you have some.

Stir in some tinned tuna (spring water or oil rather than brine to limit the salt) and cheese sace.

Freezes brilliantly in little bags and they love it!

Cheesy mash - normal mash with grated cheese added + broccoli or chopped spinach for 'green mash'.

Stewed fruits with cinnamon:
chunks of apples, pears, peaches, sultanas with a little bit of water in a pan with the lid on. Cook until soft but still holding their shape. Add tiny bit of sugar if needs be. Allow to cool, drain off the water and stir through some ground cinnamon. Yummy!

Omlette with cheese / tomato bits / ham or anything you like.

A simple tomato sauce (onions, garlic, tinned tomatoes, basil) is so easy to produce loads of and freeze in cubes then add to pasta or cous cous with peas/broccoli/sweetcorn/tuna or whatever. Or add some beef mince and more chopped veg like red pepper & carrot, simmer for 20 mins and you've got a meat sauce to go with spaghetti or other pasta.
Second Annabel Karmel although sometimes she's unrealistic about what is easy!
At this age, you can be starting to mainly give him what you and your dh have though, it's a lot of hassle once you've returned to work to do special meals for him all the time. Depends what you eat of course, but so much easier doing something for all of you at once!
