M&S Cauliflower Cheese

I have an M&S cauliflower cheese in my freezer since Christmas that I want to use up. It serves 6 but I’m the only person in my house who will eat it so I want to make it into a soup. Has anyone done this. Would love some recipe ideas.

I often make left over cauliflower cheese into a soup. Just add stock and whizz it up! You could add white wine too perhaps.

Oh lovely, I’ll will try that (after dry January)

Sounds good!

Fry an onion in butter. Add bacon and garlic if youre feeling adventurous, add thyme and chicken stock to simmer, blend with the cauliflower cheese.

As above and if you have any cannellini beans chuck them in too. Very tasty and filling.

just eat it!

one of my “home alone” meals as I am also the only person that eats it. Me, the tv, glass of wine and a tray of m&s cauliflower cheese.

maybe half it if it serves 6 🙈

I don't think the alcohol amount will be a lot after its been blitzed and cooked lol

We have the serves 6 portion between us two. It’s literally a small spoonful each if it’s divided into 6.

Enjoy your soup OP, it’s making me want cauli cheese so bad now and I’ve not long since eaten.

Maybe a whole of it serves one! I got one for Sunday dinner one day and my mum took the whole lot on her plate then put the rest of her meal on top. She ate it, I must say in her defence she is a good eater but slim!
Tbh I could have cried as I don’t eat meat and planned on eating it myself

What about a macaroni cheese with cauliflower?

vanillaskin · 27/01/2026 23:17

Add crispy bacon on top of the soup

Doone22 · 28/01/2026 07:16

I always make leftover cauliflower cheese into soup after a roast.
I just blitz it with chicken stock and add Cayenne pepper

FancyCatSlave · 28/01/2026 13:15

I’d definitely eat it all myself as it is a meal tbh.
But I’m not a blended soup fan.

This is also why I am no longer thin!

angelcake20 · 28/01/2026 14:04

I love cauliflower cheese soup but I’d probably eat it all myself - over two meals if it’s really that much.

She ate the whole thing! 😳, I know they're tiny if they serve one, but even so!

Sunloungerhogger · 28/01/2026 14:31

All I can think about now is how much I would like some cauliflower cheese.

Pineneedlesincarpet · 28/01/2026 14:43

Me too. I think Im going to make one and have it with sausages. Diet can be ignored today.

fragrancefriend · 28/01/2026 17:33

It’s very tempting to eat it all by myself but I’m trying to lose weight at the moment so making it into a soup & freezing it in portions is the best way for me. I look forward to trying it.

Add the wine. The alcohol cooks off so the meal is ‘dry’
