Is there a definitive way to make Pimms?

Can you just chuck in any mixer and some veg, or is it supposed to be done a certain way?

Yes! 1 part pimms to 3 part lemonade and then add strawberries, orange, cucumber and mint.

I’ve always done it with lemonade, apple, cucumber, orange and lemon slice, but I guess you could adapt it to taste.

The we add prosecco as well as lemonade. We only add strawberries and apples, mostly because I dislike the taste of cucumber and mint.

Yes, I thought there might have been extra booze in it too.

Follow the recipe on the bottle as above but adding a shot of sherry in a large jug makes it better

I think it would be too sweet made with only lemonade mixer.

Ginger beer as the mixer is a game changer.

Ginger ale is nicer than lemonade as a mixer for Pimms. Unfortunately nowadays all soft drinks are loaded up with sweeteners so (in my opinion) are a bit bleugh, especially the aftertaste.

No you can't! At least 1 part Pimm's to 3 parts lemonade. Cucumber, strawberry slices and mint leaves. Maybe orange slices. Also borage for garnish, but that's hard to get hold of. I'm sure ginger ale tastes nice but I prefer the traditional mix.

Alternatively, go for a Pimm's Royale (mix with champagne or cava instead of lemonade)!

At this time of year a Winter Pimm's is nice - Pimm's No.3 ('Winter Cup') mixed with spiced warm apple juice.
