Chopping board recommendations

What are the "healthiest" and most hygienic chopping boards? I currently have a lot of plastic ones but have recently been reading about them shedding micro plastics into your food.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations 🙂

I would say bamboo chopping boards - we have the Joseph Joseph set. Not cheap but very good quality.

Wood is probably best but we have also bought epicurean for convenience.

Another vote for bamboo, I've had a couple for years, can't remember where I got them, nothing fancy but they still look great, clean well etc

Definitely go for wood - much better for your knives and apparently have antibacterial properties too.

There was an episode of the Sliced Bread podcast about this - will see if I can find the link

Edit - here's the link https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002fwq7
The experts on this one were a materials scientist and a microbiologist

Wood but definitely not bamboo. It blunts your knives. Oak, maple, beech are good. I got rid of my plastic chopping boards for the same reason. I bought a beech one - from Procook - cheaper than many of the others. But ikea do an oak one.
