Keep seeing ads for these. Does anyone have one and are they any good?

I returned mine. It worked, but I could not remove the extremely stiff and tight silicone cover. I've since bought a George Foreman grill for a similar price and it's much more versatile.

Which one? I have the Lékué microwave grill and I love it for toasties and panini's.

Goodwitch9 · 14/01/2026 18:45

I was thinking of the Morphy Richards one. Had a George Foreman grill before and used it a lot but then I managed to get water inside it... Maybe I should just get another one of those?

I have one. It’s ok but nowhere near as good as a proper toastie maker - less faff, though!

MissHelenSweetstory · 14/01/2026 19:10

I love mine, use it all the time.

Goodwitch9 · 17/01/2026 13:18

Went for it as it was on offer for £12! Will report back.

Definitely come back with a link and a review! Anything I can cook quickly, works well and is easy to wash up is a win for me so let me know how about those things please 😂

Me too! I saw it on Amazon today, will definitely let you know how I get on with it, not arriving until February though.

It actually came earlier than Feb so I was able to try it out tonight. Very pleased with my purchase! Did cheese and tomato, two mins on both sides. Piping hot and yummy!

Thanks for coming back to tell us! Is it easy to clean? Can you share a link please.

It says it can all go in the dishwasher so hopefully yes!

We got the MR one a week ago and never have soooo many toasties been consumed! It does take a bit of effort to be gong with to get the plates in and out, but it really does work!

This is the one I got from Amazon.

I have this micro toastie maker, it’s good for heating up anything really, burgers chips to keep portions small, small amount of veg. Toasties are quite good as well.

ooscal · 27/01/2026 20:48

I just use the toaster bags and they work great, just need a toaster with wide opening.

I don't like the grill type things at all, just me I suppose, hate cleaning the damn things!

I know! I’ve lost two stone on Mounjaro but will probably gain it back in cheese toasties!

I've got one the same, usually I just make toasties but yesterday I cooked frozen veggie sausages in it, took 4 minutes in total, usually takes 25 in the oven!

Goodwitch9 · 27/01/2026 23:48

Ooh I’m veggie too, I’mdefinitely going to try that! I wonder if halloumi could go in there?

Same. Thick bread doesn't always fit tho I do press/squash it down

medium is better

but it’s quick and easy and no mess

Edited

I think halloumi would work brilliantly, can't wait to try it now! Might try baby corn too, basted in butter!
