If you have the Le Creuset salt and pepper grinders, how long have you had them, do they still work well and how do they look now?

In the market for a new set (current ones are old, not grinding well and look battered!), and I’m considering these, but only if they’re worth it!

I looked at these a while ago and was disappointed to discover they are made of plastic.

Not your question but a hopeful bump for you. I bought Peugeot ones about 8yrs ago and still going strong. You can get 10% off your first order too.

Had mine 9 or 10 years and the pepper mill broke about a year ago. 😩 DH tried to fix it, it worked for about 6 months but then stopped again.

Had mine for about 10 years, still in perfect condition. They, and my LC butter dish, bring me a lot of in an otherwise beige kitchen.

Yes we have yellow ones, they do the job and still look smart.

I’ve had mine about 9 years now and still work perfectly. they still look new in my opinion!

We've had them for maybe 5 years, they still work well and look as new but we keep them in a cupboard so no fading. I don't like the colour though (DH bought them), I'd have preferred wood or stainless steel. That's why they are in a cupboard.

Thanks all, super helpful! The Peugeot ones are a curveball, but having also done research (ahem… TikTok) they seem to be pretty decent!!

Food for thought, definitely!

We have them. They look nice and match the rest of our kitchen wear but I wouldn't recommend.

Our pepper grinder stopped working - it was a gift so I didn't have receipts to claim via warranty. Because I liked that the salt and pepper matched, I threw good money after bad and bought another one. It's just really feeble. It doesn't matter if I adjust the tightness.

If I buy another one I'll buy a peugeot one and accept it just won't match the salt

They have a brilliant warranty.
We have three sets, one by the hob for cooking, one on the dining room table and the third in the camper van.

Top tip is apparently not to use the salt over steaming hot pans/dishes as the salt clogs up.

My salt version started being temperamental (after 15 years). The gentleman in the shop said they have a 10 year guarantee, but gave advice as to possible solutions. The advice was sound so hoping for another 15 years or so.

I have the Le Creuset volcanic orange coloured ones... Bought for me as a Christmas present seven or eight years ago. I love them. They work brilliantly. And match all my saucepans that are from the same range!
