Farm shops in Surrey

Hello,
I’d like to buy food directly from farmers, rather than supermarkets from time to time.
Any recommendations for farm shops in Surrey?
Thanks!

Riverford deliver. So does Abel and Cole.
otherwise no. The farm shops I’ve found do not sell locally grow food,…, they sell furniture and cakes brought in from a factory…..

where are you? That might help pinpoint somewhere suitable.

Priory Farm shop and Flower Farm

curious79 · 11/01/2026 18:52

Surrey has virtually zero farms actually producing their own stuff - you are unlikely to buy ‘directly from farm’ from any shop in Surrey. Maybe find a service that offers UK farm produce at least

Whereabouts in Surrey?

Sourisblanche · 11/01/2026 20:46

There’s one in Ripley, Surrey that I have been to.

Sourisblanche · 11/01/2026 20:49

The one at the plant nursery I should add, not Ferma which I have also been to, lovely but trés cher.

Priory Farm shop and Flower Farm

I was going to say this plus Flower Farm down the road in Gostone. I'm not convinced that Priory Farm grows it's own stuff but don't go in there much (go to the cafe opposite) so not sure but I really think the farm shop at Flower Farm seems pretty authentic and there is definitely farming going on in surrounding fields? It's less polished as well as in the vegetable look home grown and less gift shop vibes (also nice cafe).

Blueskiesnotgrey · 11/01/2026 20:54

Sorry just noticed the PP also said Priory AND Flower Farm :)

Cheepcheepcheep · 11/01/2026 20:55

Secrets in Milford is decent. I don’t rate the one in Jacob’s well.

Agree don’t think it is more than selling fresh produce, some of which is local. Brightleigh farm sells at farmers’ markets.

Thanks everyone. I do already order from Riverford but just wondered if there was a nice little farm shop I’ve missed on my search.
I’m more on the Surrey/SW London borders in Kingston. Happy to take a drive out somewhere though if it’s worth it.

Welcome to the The Farm Shop Lyne

It's near St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey.

FourForksSake · 13/01/2026 17:57

Windsor Farm shop. Excellent meat from the estate but £££.

Bushells Farm in Carshalton

kitkatkat · 13/01/2026 18:02

Prob too far from you but Sutton community farm have a veg box scheme - no shop tho. www.suttoncommunityfarm.org.uk/

snowymarbles · 13/01/2026 18:21

Bushells is great but very small. Really just basic meat and a few veg. I quite like Flower Farm as well.

NewJobat50 · 13/01/2026 18:25

I don't think there's a lot out there for genuinely grown locally. Garsons, as mentioned. I get quite a lot of my meat from Field and Flower, but they're actually in Somerset so it's delivered.

I'm interested in the Ripley suggestion - drive through there all the time and didn't know there was one.

There's also a garden centre with a farm shop on the other side of Gordons school somewhere. Can't remember the name but feel liek it might have "black" in it? But I'm not entirely sure how local the produce is. Ditto, the garden shop at Chessington Garden Centre - it's very nice, and very expensive, but I don' tknow how local it truly is.

SloughResident · 13/01/2026 18:29

Windsor Farm shop. Excellent meat from the estate but £££. It's in Berkshire but not far from the northernmost part of Surrey

FourForksSake · 13/01/2026 23:32

As the OP lives in Kingston I’m fairly certain they have Windsor on their radar.

Rubiscoisfantastic · 14/01/2026 06:57

Great suggestions everyone.

Thank you!

@FourForksSake , it's about 20miles from Kingston and OP asked "Any recommendations for farm shops in Surrey?"

Wrap up warm if you're venturing into Secretts at this time of year! Great for keeping the food fresh.
They do have a nice selection of food.
I think in the summer they get their soft fruit from Hall Hunter Partnership just up the road.
There's also a butchers next door which seems to be highly regarded.

Really don’t understand your point but FYI Windsor Farm shop is 1.4miles from the Surrey boundary. HTH.
