Food that hits the spot

Shoutout to Candy Kittens, the Disco Dreams sweets are utterly divine and really hit the spot. The amount of sourness/chew is exactly what does it for me. They’re on special at Waitrose right now which is terrible for my teeth as I’ll smash a whole bag easily…(not an ad!!!!)

Tell me your tasty treats that you love..preferably naughty ones! 😈

Cadbury Snowball chocolates.

murasaki · 11/01/2026 14:34

Reeses peanut butter cups. I don't like peanut butter, nor milk chocolate, but these are pure alchemy. In fact I'll get one out of the fridge now, thanks OP!.

All the cheeses? What’s your go-to? For me my current obsession is a Barkham Blue or Red Fox 🤤

My number one choice of chocolate. Doesn’t get better!

Cadbury Snowball chocolates.

Haven’t had these for a while- I guess they won’t be available until winter again??

B and M still have them!

tartyflette · 11/01/2026 14:42

Doughnuts. Any doughnuts really but especially the extra greasy US-style ring doughnuts. But they're really light, honest....

Forgottenmyphone · 11/01/2026 15:17

Tesco pretzel and salt loaded milk chocolate bar

Cerialkiller · 11/01/2026 15:22

Those fox's chocolate covered biscuit rings. I can't buy them as I can eat the whole pack in one sitting. Ditto chocolate hobknobs tbh.

I also don't like malteasers but the malteasers bunnies/reindeers are lush. It's the proportion of chocolate to crunch.

poetryandwine · 11/01/2026 15:45

Tortilla chips! With salsa verde, salsa roja, seasoned sour cream, guacamole, hot peppers, Longley Farms cottage cheese, thin slices of Cheddar, individually or in combination. Failing that, a shaker of sea salt will do. Preferably accompanied by a cold Mexican beer with a twist of lime. Or my annual full fat Coca Cola.

M and S peanut butter cups are infinitely superior to Reeses. The best ones are Pip and Nut, but they’re hard to find.

SwedishEdith · 11/01/2026 16:01

Lidl did bags of almonds covered in some toasted sugar coating for Christmas. Addictive.

Agree about tortilla chips as well. Cannot stop eating them once I start.

Tutti Frutti sweets were my "I know I shouldn't" treat as an adult. Especially trying to eat the whole packet in one mouthful for the intensity.

sausagepastapot · 11/01/2026 16:06

excellent excuse to get down there tomorrow!!!

Vanilla fudge. The crumbly type.

pinkgown · 11/01/2026 16:37

Cheese fondue

Yum. I am addicted to them. Sour watermelons are my favorite.

NC543210 · 11/01/2026 21:57

I'm easily pleased but frazzles.

IGotBigKidsAndICannotLie · 11/01/2026 22:00

Loaded potato soup. It's healthy, see, cos it's home made. With bacon and cheese and potato and something to give it a bit of a kick if you want...going to have to make some tmrw now 🤤

SpiceGhoul · 11/01/2026 22:05

M&S Mexican layered dip with Jacobs bites or walkers max for scooping. Drumstick squashies or my latest obsession Shades By Niko, the tropical or sour ones are my favourite but they're all good.

Hosoan · 12/01/2026 11:50

Toasted cheese crumpets with chutney. Divine every time.

That sounds amazing, do you have a recipe? Or is it a chuck it all in and hope job?

MouseCheese87 · 12/01/2026 11:56

A Burger King Whopper. I never don't feel like eating one. It's the combination of the burger, the fresh salad, the mayo and the sauce.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/01/2026 14:03

Ones that can 👌 pretend to be healthy:
pitta bread with homemade tzatziki using really good yoghurt and lots of garlic

cream cheese, sweet chilli sauce and coriander with tortilla chips or those sweet chilli rice crackers for dipping

or the crackers or tortilla chips with mango salsa

No pretence:
cheese on toast with a green chilli sauce that is made locally and I can’t get enough of

Absolute crap but I can’t help myself:
Marshmallows
Haribo Nostalgic mix

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/01/2026 14:04

Oh and dolly mixtures - but I haven’t seen any for years
