Toddler not eating

Hi!!

would really really like some advice on regarding toddlers and eating!
my toddler has hardly eaten anything all day. Is this a common thing at 18 months? She’s happy in herself but just won’t eat any food!!

Has it just been one day? If so I wouldn’t worry at all

So common it’s ridiculous. Could be anything from “doesn’t feel like it” to teething/coming down with a bug. If she’s drinking liquids and well in herself I wouldn’t worry. Most toddlers do eat eventually when they get hungry.

Agree that it could literally be anything and not to worry. Toddlers in particular can seem to survive on fresh air sone days and then other days you can be left wondering how they fit it all in.

Mine has been the same for the past few days. She'll have one bite and then throw the rest on the floor.

She seems fine in herself and drinking lots so I'm not worried. Just frustrated!

They also don’t need the same amount of calories as they did becauae the phenomenal rate of growth that they have between birth and 12 months has slowed somewhat. That’s one reason that the recommended amount of milk drops to 300 mls per day between 12 and 24 months.

As long as the chikd isn't complaining its fine. Both if my kids were like this. In the end I'd do baby tapas. I'd give them a few bits of a wide variety of food and let them pick. An average plate would be 3 grapes cut in quarters, 1 strawberry, 1/2 slice of buttered toast, some small cubes of cheese, a slice of sandwich meat.

My 2 year old has ate like a bird since the week before Christmas but these last 2 days you couldn't fill him.
