Oddbox? anyone use / have opinions

Does anyone use oddbox for fruit / veg etc.

Any comments good / bad.

Debating giving it a try for a few months over winter
(We grow a LOT of our own fruit and veg, but its obviously seasonal, so right now I only have greens and herbs, and frozen fruit and berries from the summer)

I get most of my fruit / veg from ocado (which I am happy with)

I cook from scratch and we get through lots of veg, but i also like to plan what I cook in advance.

I used Oddbox for maybe a year and really liked it. There's a great newsletter included that tells you why the specific veg is 'odd' and has good recipes. I stopped using it because they deliver overnight where I live and I had a couple of boxes stolen from the doorstep. Oddbox were very good about it and refunded me but I didn't want to become a target for some passing veg thief so stopped. Will likely resume when I move house.

I used them at my old house and liked them but we now live on a very quiet street and don't want to have deliveries during the night. Wish they did deliveries during the day!

A neighbour talked me into sharing, but we found the selection was boring.
We cancelled after another neighbour complained about the delivery driver making the dogs bark in the night, and to cap it all a box was stolen!

Thank you

My milkman delivers around 3am so I'm not too bothered about delivery time

I live in the middle of nowhere so hopefully have no neighbours to offend.

I think i'll give them a try and can always cancel. Will cancel during the summer months when I grown plenty of my own.

We’ve tried them a few times but found that you could only change a couple of things which simply didn’t work for us, if they had a list you could pick say, 10 items from we would return.

They're good IMO, you can set exclusions for things you'd never want and a few days ahead they let you know whats in your next delivery with the option to swap stuff. Changing box type or size or skipping deliveries is ok too. Quality of veg is good.

You can change lots more now

I really like my Oddbox it’s much better than the company I had before that did a similar thing. You can change lots of things which is great and I don’t think the things are that “odd” in terms of shape and size. My only bugbear is that the big carrots don’t last and are floppy within a day or two - chantenay carrots are always fine
