Butter is as hard as a brick if kept in the fridge and as we eat a lot of bread the past few days i've kept the butter out of the fridge (in a butter dish) but does it get all germy and bacterial or can it be kept out till it's finished. Been out for 3 days now.

Is there really a bug doing the rounds? Ds2 has been throwing up and I've felt a bit queasy. I assumed it was his mumps injection, although ds1 had it too and he seems fine.

Apparently, people used to eat rancid butter as a cure for constipation.

I keep mine out of the fridge too.

I keep a small section out of the fridge too. Hate hard butter.

Yeah, butter is meant to live out of the fridge. Thats what butter dishes are for

I never put my butter in the fridge once it has been opened. Doesn't go off if in butter dish in cool place
