So I cooked the meat filling a few days ago & froze it.. defrosted yesterday & made up into a lasagne, cooked it. There’s loads left & no one will eat it now as we’re going away… I can’t refreeze it can I??

You technically can, but it’s a bit risky. Since the meat filling was already defrosted once, then cooked in the lasagne, refreezing could affect texture and taste and there’s a small food safety risk if it wasn’t cooled quickly.
A safer approach:

Cool it quickly (within 2 hours of cooking)
Portion it into airtight containers
Freeze immediately

When reheating, make sure it’s piping hot all the way through.
If you want to avoid freezer risks, you could also share it with neighbors or use it in meals over the next day or two. 🍴

Thanks @SomethingRattling . Picking your brains...could I cook it from frozen?

You could, but the top of the lasagne might dry out in the time it takes to defrost and heat right to the middle. It would probably work best to cover it with foil and have the oven on a low heat initially, then when you've checked that the middle has defrosted, remove the foil and turn up the heat until it's hot enough.

Thank you @SomethingRattling . That's really clear.

Now all you have to do is get on with writing that much needed Freezer Book for people like me!😀

Thank you too @ByMintSnail . I'd buy your book too!
