Kitchen knife recommendations

I asked Santa for a decent kitchen knife - he’s let me down! Can anyone suggest a decent knife - not a long pointed one, not serrated, just a decent chopping knife. (carving my rib of beef on Christmas Day was interesting with my blunt bread knife 😂)

I love the Robert Welch cooks’ knife. The whole range is good but this one is my favourite. Feels genuinely all-purpose. DP keeps it very sharp so that helps.

This one's good, and very reasonably priced! I have a couple of Kitchen Devils knives and find them excellent especially for the price.
