Does anyone remember this bread from the 60s/70s

I remember having this bread at my grandparents in Yorkshire but don't remember what it was called, I'd love to know if it's still available. It was a dark brown bread, shaped like an oval bloomer, and the crust was quite smooth and shiny. Or is it just a figment of my imagination.

It sounds like the bread my mum used to buy at KwikSave. It was unsliced, and sometimes there would be a little "tail" of dough on the end of the loaf.

I don't remember it having a tail and I think it was from a local bakery
