My DP went shopping yesterday as it was the only time he could go before Christmas. We are staying with my DD and the family from tonight until Boxing Day and on the 27th they are all coming to me for dinner My DP picked up a turkey crown with a use by date of 26th Dec! Its been stored in my cold fridge but I'm worried I'll give everyone a stomach upset? Your thoughts please.

If it’s being cooked before 26th December, and it’s been stored properly, no issue!

Literally everything like that has date of 26th on it before Xmas. Smell it and you will know. If you are worried cook ahead as others suggested

I always say that the meat doesn’t know it’s meant to go off at the stroke of midnight - supermarkets need to cover their arses. As a PP has said, your nose is your friend and honestly I have used meat that two or three days passed and been absolutely fine: you will know if it’s not ok.

Freeze it.
