Bulgar wheat for porridge, has anyone done this

Ive learned today (I think) that bulgar has more protein and more fibre than pin head oatmeal, although the oats have more b vitamins, iron and soluble fibre

So rather than continue having my porridge with the pin head oatmeal I thought will do every other day with the bulgar wheat and get some different nutrients in

But whereas I cook my oatmeal very long and slow with milk, over a low flame, how would I do it with bulgar, Ive only ever used bulgar wheat with boiling water that I then let it absorb, I dont 'cook' it as such.

I usually use 100g pinhead oatmeal to 1 pint of full fat milk, not sure what the ratios would be for bulgar

Anyone done this?

Yes, we have it.
Make more or less the same way as normal porridge but rinse the buldar first to make it less starchy. It has a nutty taste.

I eat bulgar wheat a lot, Ive bought the very dark brown bulgar before, although recently have been buying the normal stuff from Tesco.
