Best all round potatoes

I’ve always bought baking potatoes for everything, mash/jacket/roast, but I’m finding them ‘sticky’ now, even the kids have commented.
So which should I be buying for an all rounder?

King Edwards are the best. They taste so good and you can use them for everything. Well, I do as I love them.

Maris Piper or King Edwards are great.
Tesco all rounder are probably a mix of the two and much cheaper.

Maris piper are good all-rounders as well.

I only buy Maris Pipers. They're floury so make excellent mash as well as good chips, roasties and jackets. I've found the potatoes packaged as "baking potatoes" or just "white potatoes" often don't name the variety or it's one I haven't heard of. They often turn out to be waxy varieties which results in horrid gloopy mash.

Everyone says my roast potatoes are the best. I always buy red Albert Rooster.

Maris piper usually more reliable for multi use.
King Edwards not good for mash and if par boiled for roast 1 minute over they fall to bits!

Maris pipers for the win here! King Edward if they’re unavailable.

Thanks all, Maris Piper from now on!
