Help, Smelly chicken! Should I use it?

Have a lovely big free range chicken which is a day past it's use by date. It has that funny slightly acrid smell that chicken (even in date) sometimes has. Should I use it?

Glad it did you, me'dear, I wasn't laughing much at the time I can tell you. Happened in the states of all places! All I can say is that I wouldn't have done what that doctor did to me for $30. Or for $30000000 for that matter. I'd have thought a stool sample would have done, but he wanted it fresh!

My chicken smelt like that yesterday (on it's use by date). I just called ocado and told them and they are crediting me with the cost!

It must be the time of year because I had a smelly chicken on Thursday. I rang Waitrose and they replaced it, refunded the cost and gave me a bottle of wine!
