Pudding Adverts Ban

You might have noticed, but there's been a ban placed on advertising high carbs/puds etc on TV. There are adverts for puddings, but recent regulations in the UK are changing how and when they are shown. Products high in fat, sugar, or salt (HFSS), including many puddings and Christmas desserts like mince pies, face significant advertising restrictions, including a Watershed Ban. Ads for HFSS products are banned on broadcast TV before the 9pm watershed. This is part of a government effort to tackle childhood obesity.

So kids are allowed to be exposed to the soaps, with violence, coercive behaviour, all manner of sexuality and the like ... but not puddings. Just 'Wow!' 😠

Quite ridiculous when we still have endless fast food and gambling ads shown post watershed admittedly for the latter bout I doubt that stops kids seeing them.
