Mine are always either too crunchy or soft but not chewy. Definitely not over baking!

This was the recipe I used last time, they were nice but sort of soft not chewy.

Do you think maybe I made them too big and that would cause them to be soft?

Sue Lawrence has a recipe that uses oil instead of butter and they always come out chewy.

Lorraine Pascale has a really good recipe for chewy cookies, though if I recall it says it make something like 8, but I get dozens from it! The recipe uses bread flour which I think helps.

There is a woman on Instagram
called Makylacreates. Her chocolate chip cookies are excellent; chewy but not too sweet.
