I’m making the ultimate chocolate trifle that I see on Tik Tok.
To make…
Layer of chocolate sponge.
A pot of Cadbury’s pot of joy.
Cover in chocolate chips.
Another sprinkle of white chocolate chips.
A layer of mini chocolate brownies.
A layer of whipped cream.

Put mini brownies around the edge.
A layer of whipped cream.
Sprinkle the top with a smashed up Cadburys Flake.
Pipe some swirls of cream around the edge.
Place some Maltesers reindeers around the edge.

Bbcgoodfood.com Ultimate chocolate cake. Best I've ever made.

Chocolate & raspberry torte
300g oatie biscuits (hob nob type)
50g melted butter
300ml double cream
2 tablespoons soft brown sugar
300g dark chocolate (bourneville strength rather than really high cocoa %).

Blitz biscuits in a blender & add melted butter.
Line a loose based flan tin with baking paper & spread the biscuit mix into the base & up the sides. Put in oven at 160°c for 8-10 minutes then leave to cool.
In a saucepan heat the double cream & sugar until it "gloops". Remove from heat & stir in broken chocolate until it's melted in.
Leave to cool to room temp.
Pour into biscuit base & leave to set in fridge.
When ready to serve add fresh raspberries & sprinkle with icing sugar. Serve with vanilla icecream.

I also keep seeing videos of French hot chocolate. It looks absolutely banging and I am definitely making some.

I’m making Delia’s chocolate bread and butter pudding.

OMGitsnotgood · 30/11/2025 18:15

Delia’s Squidgy Chocolate Log takes a bit of making but it’s definitely worth it

Delia’s Chocolate Torte, from her Christmas book:

Really easy to make and extremely delicious (and rich!)

The Challenge. It was a recipe posted by a lovely QVC prestenter Debbie Greenwood . Chocolate biscuit base (crush ,mix with melted butter, press into lined loose base tin, I think cling film or foil) boil up a tin of condensed milk (in the tin) then cool .spread over biscuits. Layer of melted Mars Bars, then press in as many Malteasers as humanely possible. Leave to set. The Challenge is to ea5 more than one slice.

Not particularly Christmassy but here are my favourite chocolate desserts:

Chocolate pots de creme - half way between chocolate mousse and ganache

Nigella’s salted chocolate tart - dead easy, and impressive (Needs Oreos).

Nigella again, Chocohotopots - basically like a chocolate fondant but without the need to turn it out. Yum

Mary Berry's Velvet Chocolate Torte.
I always keep one in the freezer for special occasions, it's absolutely delicious

DS2 and I will be having a rocky road Christmas pudding

Nigella instant chocolate mouse (the one with marshmallows) is fabulous.

Agree with the ultimate chocolate cake is lovely.

The Nigella chocolate meringue stack is amazing. Frol how to be a domestic goddess

RestitutionGranted · 30/11/2025 22:47

I’m making this in my new Emma Bridgwater trifle bowl! I wanted something as a lighter alternative to Christmas pudding, Christmas cake and mince pies.
