What are your least favourite cooking smells?

Salmon

Burnt toast grinds my gears.

Smoked fish, I love fish but I don't like the taste or smell of it smoked

I knew this would be near the top. Totally agree.

Meat

Caff bacon. Feel sick when I pass some caffs.

And fondue or raclette. Like eating it (a bit) but it stinks!!

Tinned tuna. Can in bin immediately. All cutlery and crockery straight into very soapy sink.

Onions and garlic when they start to fry next door. Their kitchen vent is inexplicably sited in the subfloor under our living-room.

Anything offal related. I fail to believe humans actually consume ‘liver and onions’. Rank.

A couple of people have said this I think and I’ve never heard of it, apparently google hasn’t either. What is caff?

You know the dodgy café in the apprentice? Unsmoked cheap bacon. It reeks. Fried.

Oh! I’m so silly, I’ve definitely heard caf as short version of café. Thanks for clearing that up!

I agree, it reminds me of cafés full of builders smoking at 8 am. Strange childhood memory unlocked.

Cauliflower, it smells of fart

Stinks house out for days.

Fried eggs 🤮..I have to leave the house for the day if someone makes them at home!
