Which is the nicest of the Gymkhana jars of curry sauce?

Has anyone done a taste test?

We’ve just tried the ‘Butter Masala’ one this evening with chicken. It was ok but not (at £6.75) any nicer than your average jar of curry sauce.

Is there one particular one that is stand-out better than the others?

Thanks.

Watching with interest!

I like the butter chicken one - and I use the tandoori marinade on the chicken too.
Im not quite convinced they are worth the money for the sauce jars though. I mean, it’s a Michelin starred place and if I’m blunt I cannot taste a fabulous difference.
It’s a small portion of sauce even for two people IMO and so for three of us I would need two jars which is £16 before any other ingredient is added.
It comes in a fab box and I’ll consider ordering the marinades if I get an offer sent to me but I think I’ll skip the sauces. If they were fabulous I wouldn’t mind paying it - but I just can’t taste a dicernable difference from my using pataks spice mix and adding my own coconut milk/tomatoes etc.

Thanks Luna.
I did think ‘Emperor’s new clothes’ when we tried the Butter Marsala one.

Yes they are nice but as others say very expensive but I guess not as expensive as a takeaway .

I paid £5.75 for the Tandoori marinade. The first listed ingredient was yoghurt, so that’s some of the most expensive yoghurt I’ve ever bought. Other (less expensive) marinades leave the yoghurt out and advise on the amount of yoghurt to add, which seems far more reasonable. I won’t be buying it again.

Thin and not worth the money. Overhyped and at best underwhelming

Agree- Charlie Bingham meals are better. Tried the gymkana rogan Josh & it was too hot with no depth of flavour whatsoever.
