Has anyone used the Pataks tikka masala taste pots in a slow cooker?

Have a really busy week work wise coming up and I need to start using the slow cooker more, but the kids and dh aren't always keen on stews. Was thinking about just trying it with some of our usual meals.

I think I go wrong with my timings. How long would you put this on for?

You can make a really nice but simple curry with chicken thighs, coconut cream (cream only, no milk as that’s too much liquid), diced onion, jar of drained chickpeas, curry powder, garlic, ginger, and chopped fresh chillis/chilli flakes.

I use jars of lazy garlic and ginger for ease and before serving I stir in some garam masala and a spoonful of mango chutney. I sprinkle fresh chopped coriander on top when serving and have lime to squeeze over too.

I cook for 5 hours on the “auto” setting on our slow cooker. But I think it’s roughly 4 hours on high or 6 on low.

Yes, the spice pots work well in the slow cooker, though honestly i tend to just buy the jars of curry paste. If im using the slow cooker I’ll fry off some onions in the spice paste to cook out the spices, add the onions, chicken (I also put in sweet potato and a tin of chickpeas) with a tin of tomatoes and a chicken stock pot into the slow cooker, on low for 5/6 hours and stir in coconut milk or full fat Greek yoghurt before serving. It’s a winter staple in my house. The sweet potato goes very soft and thickens the sauce.
