Instant yeast - can I buy this in a pot rather than sachets but for cheap?

So I buy the sachets in Aldi or Lidl but I dont use a whole sachet each time because I use tsp amounts or 3/4tsp depending on the recipe

But what this means is that its fiddly getting the spoons in and then I end up with a bit in the bottom of the sachet that I cant get out, then it falls out and I cant measure it and its a waste

But you get 56g in total in those packs for only about 90p

Is there a way to buy the same thing in a pot, I presume I would keep it in the fridge for the same price per 100g, which is about £1.60 per 100g or so I think.

We buy the yeast endorsed by @rzm, decant it into small jars and freeze all but one of them. Never had a problem with this.

I use Allisons easy bake tubs in my bread maker, and use it straight from the freezer. Lasts for ages and doesn’t lose its yeastiness

As above, yeast freezes really well, as does uncooked bread dough.

So, @soupyspoon, you could decant your sachets into a jar and leave in the freezer. You shouldn’t lose anything this way as you are using it regularly.

Or make a larger loaf and halve after your first rising. Freeze one and carry on working the other. Defrost the other, knead, rise and bake when you need to.

Freezing the pot, now you're talking. Lots of good ideas here

I dont make bread the traditional way, its an overnight no knead bread, I dont touch it and doubt you could freeze it, cant even manipulate it that easily into the pot so certainly couldnt package it up somehow to freeze
