Last minute friends round

We're last minute - as in just decided - having some of my daughter's school friends round for trick or treating and then some dinner. What can I throw together with literally no prep time? I'll be at work all day (though can nip out to supermarket or M&S) and back 5 mins before guests arrive. Something for 6 adults and 4 kids that I can whip up in about 10 or 15 mins. Also, any ideas for nice nibbles that I can buy. Please help.

Salad ? 15 minutes isn’t much cook time for anything.

if you plan to eat after trick and treat you could do jackets leave them in the oven cooking (blast them in the microwave first) selection of toppings - beans cheese of course and pick up some sandwich fillers (prawn cocktail coronation chicken etc). Pizza / sausage rolls / quiche bowl of salad

Buy some dips, crisps and pizzas.

Pizzas and tomato soup. Buy some nice bread, a couple of Camemberts, next to a bowl of soup, nice and warming. Pizza for the kids.

Hot dogs! If you want onions buy some frozen sliced ones. In a low pan for 10 mins with a splash of honey, salt and pepper. Or look for the crispy onions. Make sure you have ketchup.and American mustard.

M&S do great dips and share bags of snacks. Some nuts. Olives.

Buy some Colin cakes.

Buy a bottle of fizz or 2 and some cartons of drinks for the kids.

Voila

Big tray of nachos in the oven for 5 mins for cheese to melt and then a selection of dips. Aldi’s ready made pulled fajhita chicken is great for meat eaters or you could use a ton of good quality chilli

This - use fresh pasta (takes 4 mins from boiling) whilst frying some chorizo and jarred peppers. Grate some parmesan. Maybe a garlic bread on the side if you are feeling fancy.

Spaghetti with Spanish flavours

Spaghetti with Spanish flavours

A 10 minute dish which infuses spaghetti with the flavours of Spain - you can make a vegetarian version too

M&S have a range of pre-made Halloween party food. (Bat shaped breaded chicken, eye ball pizzas, pumpkin boa buns, prawn witches fingers, spooky shaped crisps etc). With such little time I’d go for that.
