I am looking for a bread maker-never used one before. Heard Panasonic are good-which ones are recommended for a family of 4-5?

Panasonic. 100%
It is one of those weird things where they completely have a monopoly on all the best bread makers.
There is a Facebook group dedicated to it which is quite useful for me varied recipes.

You can pick different loaf sizes & large loaf should do a family of 6 a day.
Quick loaf takes 2hrs which is also handy

You don't need to get the top spec, the entry level are just as reliable and good at basic loaves. But the timer function and auto feed for seeds and things is useful.

SD-2511 was the one I got. We are 3 sometimes 4 adults and we don't make bread every day.

I got mine off ebay for £37 - it took a couple of weeks for one to come up but if you don't need it immediately then there are savings to be made.

Loved and used my Panasonic almost daily for 15 years until I switched to making sourdough. It’s an amazing piece of equipment. Recently bought the Russell Hobbs for DS at uni, as it was around half the price on Amazon, and he’s super happy with it.

I got one on Facebook Marketplace for £30. There are some real bargains to be had

I did lots of research years ago and Panasonic was the most highly rated then so I bought one and it really is brilliant. Still going strong.

We have a Panasonic one and we’ve used it probably 4 times a week for 20 years. It’s great!
