Am I seeing rotten fruit?

A local pub is advertising its Sunday Lunches. Does anyone else think that the pears to the side of the raw pork joint are rotten?

That pear looks manky, AND I would be wanting to core the apple as I bet it's got a maggot or two.

Which side? I mean, that’s all going to be roasted, so probably mashed into a sauce or whatever. It’s not a great picture.

One of their other pics has got raw sausages alongside red onions (unpeeled and still with roots on) and dirty potatoes. I mean, yukk!

Maybe they're quinces? Looks really unappetising anyway.
